The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.
SASSA might be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency reported it can be alarmed concerning the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The provider point designed for intervention experiences a higher influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it difficult to the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a here lot more methods to help sassa status the servicing of all clients and enhance usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
